This is my first blog….so here goes.
With the recent tsunami destruction in Samoa, I thought I’d add my side of the story.
This all happened about a month ago.
We took a much needed surf/photo trip away from the cold winter here in Port Stephens, to the tropical islands of Western Samoa.
My friend Chris organised the trip, our goal was to experience a new culture and surf some big waves in warm waters. I also wanted to capture some images of the culture and of course surfing and more underwater images. I really wanted to get the shot of a surfer in the barrel from underwater.
Here is Chris doing his thing at Aganoa.A couple of things I noticed as soon as we got off the plane was the humidity. Everything felt wet. It was the middle of the night and the outside temp was about 30 degrees. The people are super friendly and chilled. They are really big and stong and look a little initmidating, but were generally really cool.

Loved the trip. What a shame most of the resorts are wiped out.
