Everyone is unique and it is vital that we capture the essence of the couple on their wedding day. We pay attention to the tiniest detail, buttons on dresses, stolen glances between the couple and the all important shots. We all know how fast a wedding day flies past and our couples love to relive their day over and over again through the beautiful images Brent captures.

We Recently photographed a beautiful wedding for a couple, very simple, unique and heartfelt. Their wedding reflected their style perfectly and Bent managed to capture their love, perfectly.

We wish Justin & Dena all the happiness in the future and we look forward to photographing their happy events in the future.

Darren and Renee, are monthly finalists in Bride to Be magazine’s ‘Bride of the Year’ competition, where they have named Capture Imaging as one of our favourite suppliers.

We are thrilled for them and naturally we have voted for them here at the Studio as our favourite couple. We enjoyed browsing all the other beautiful brides & grooms and their wedding photos too but I think we are a little bias here at Capture Imaging with good reason too. The ceremony was at the historic catholic church in Raymond Terrace. I love these old buildings, so much character and history. After the ceremony we photographed the bride and groom in and around the church and I really wanted to show the strong connection between the newly weds who were very much in love. One of my favs is the shot inside near the window.

We travelled back to the inner lighthouse near little beach for some fun location shots and then ended up at The Catch Restuarant in Shoal Bay Resort and Spa for the reception.

Loved the speeches and the true love between Darren and Renee – that was felt by everyone. Brent.

Everything went according to plan, well… almost. One of the groom’s men had a “shirt malfunction” and there were some last minute shopping to be done. In the meantime the bride was getting ready and we got some really good candid shots with all the girls. Once they were dressed I got the bride and bridesmaids onto the balcony and again using my off-camera lights, we captured the brilliant colours in the dresses without losing the beautiful marina background and blue colours of the bay (port stephens).

Angela and Peter are an active couple and we decided to have some fun after the ceremony and formal shots were over. We headed to the beach close the anchorage and played tug-o-war. We also had a game of touch rugby, which everyone enjoyed. There are so many choices for wedding shots around the anchorage that I could have gone on forever, but we ran out of time and everyone headed back to freshen-up for the reception. I got one last shot of Peter trying to reach Angela up high on the balcony.

After sunset and halfway through dinner, I managed to convince the couple to get a few sunset images on the breakwater. Using one of the bridesmaids to hold my off-camera light, I photographed the wedding couple running past me with the sunset in the background. One of the best images is the silhouette below.

I really enjoyed shooting this wedding, everyone was really relaxed and in a festive mood. Thanks again to Stacy for being the 2nd photographer on the day and for helping me organise all the group shots. Thanks to Rosie for editing the images too.

The day turned out to be stormy, some sunshine but we all got rained on during the ceremony. The weather didn’t dampen the spirits of everyone there though. Kelly looked stunning, and I got a number of shots on the porch, backlit with the sun. Always challenging shooting into the sun, but it was a lot easier with my portable lights. I wanted to capture Kelly with the bush and the natural scenery behind her.

We headed to onemile beach once the rain cleared to have fun. Damian and the boys raced down the beach, passed the footy ball and carried the girls. The sun had already set and I needed to shoot at 6400 iso to get the movement images.

Damian is from New Zealand and he joined his country men to gave us a treat at the end with their traditional war dance – the haka. I was so moved by the intensity of the dance and the spirit and effort they put into it….that I couldn’t sit still for another 30 minutes afterwards.
