The studio has been a buzz with lovely models having their portfolios updated. With the temperatures getting warmer out there going into summer we have quite a few models come into our studio to have their hair and make-up done and experience what it’s like to be a super-model for the day at capture imaging  photography.

Milly Harrison (16 years old, from Corlette) won our Facebook beauty search competition with the most votes and we had so much fun shooting her model portfolio. Here is a short video interview we made on the day of the shoot.

Here are a few more images from Milly’s model portfolio photo shoot. We started in the studio, and then outdoors in our studio court-yard, and finally we got some great images on the beach at sunset, not far from our studio.

Brianna wanted to do a glamour / fashion shoot and we had so much fun in our studio and down on the beach close by.

We had fun planning her shoot and really understood her vision and motivation to have the shoot done. Renee has and adorable son and would like to do some Mum & Bub modelling (model photography).

When Renee saw her image up on the large screen for her viewing she was amazed. She told me she couldn’t believe that it was her, she never thought she could look THAT good. We even included a few glamour makeover style images.

Renee choose her favorite images and we made a beautiful handmade 12 inch leather album (model portfolio). Every picture showed a different side of this beautiful woman. Renee told me that she just LOVED the album and I know her lovely Husband will as well.

I have already been able to put Renee forward for a modeling job through our studio and I am sure there will be great opportunities for Renee in the future.

It was a fun day with our Studio in Anna Bay a buzz with music and laughter as Hannah had her hair and makeup done. Hannah had great fun choosing outfits and shoes that she had brought. Brent gave her heaps of posing tips too to help Hannah’s natural beauty shine. They ended up on Birubi Beach, a short stroll from our studio.

Have a look a these images, I think it is really important that we have images to keep at every important stage of our lives. Whether it is for a modelling portfolio or as a keep sake. Tamara is a stunning girl, that has come to us through the  Miss Surfest competition through Fannys Night club in Newcastle.

This was her first professional modeling  photo shoot, naturally she was a little nervous at the start. As usual Brent and his assistant Alex with their laid back attitude were able to work with Tamara, showing her the ropes and letting her view some images as they went. Tamara could see the amazing images that we being produced, with that her confidence soared and I think you will agree that Brent has captured the true essence of this young woman.

We photographed her model portfolio here in Port Stephens, and we ended up on the Stockton sand dunes for the late afternoon twilight shots.

After the hair and makeup was done, we started in the studio with some really nice – soft light – closeups, then used our swing for more arty type images. Nicole has worked really hard on her physique in the past year and I really wanted to show this in these images. I used hard light with shadows to emphasis her hard belly.

We ended up going to shoal bay and shooting on the beach under the wharf, and then headed for zenith beach and got the final images in the surf. Nicole picked up her model portfolio and CD of images last week before the Easter holidays and was totally thrilled.

Good luck in your career Nicole….I think you have what it takes to succeed. Brent

Bianka came to us a few months ago looking to update her portfolio and get some professional model/actor photos. Glad the paper used one of the images.  Below is the writeup from the examiner newspaper.

FOUR budding, young Port Stephens actors have scored roles in a production of the musical The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

The Young Peoples Theatre production at Hamilton is running throughout the school holidays and at weekends until the end of November.

Port juniors to feature are Jake Nye, 11 and Bianka Lee, 17, of Boat Harbour and Harold Phipps, 15 and his sister Jasmine, 9, from Corlette.

The plot has four children walking through a wardrobe and into a magical land where animals talk and a battle for power is underway. The play is the first time Jake Nye and Harold Phipps have played main roles and according to fellow actress Bianka they are both thrilled.

“As a cast we are working hard on making sure our portrayal of the characters reflect those in the original,” she said. “My favourite part of the show is either the surprise arrival of Father Christmas, or the Sacrifice of Aslan the Lion.”

I caught up with Becky this week and she has been busy on the catwalk launching Bra’s'n’  things Summer range and doing a lot of promotional work in Sydney for many high profile companies. Becky thrives on hard work and markets herself very well.

Becky is really excited about her current project and is working very had training getting ready for an international modeling competition in Singapore so we wish her the best of luck for the next couple of months.

Many of our Miss Surfest girls recognised Becky in our studio and aspire to follow in her foot steps.  I tell the girls that not only is Becky a stunning beautiful girl but she is a really beautiful person on the inside, very sweet and down to earth which I think makes her natural beauty shine.

In the planning meetign we went through Britt’s last shoot and had a look at those amazing images. She is such a beautiful girl and such an infectious smile. She explained to me how in all her photos she was smiling, she want to be creative this time, a little bit more edgy, more attitude and less smiles.

We had our Make up artist, Kim from Blush Brides join us in the studio where she did an amazing transformation on Britt, smokey sultry eyes with just a hint of color on her lips.

Brent did the first half of the shoot in the studio. He had Britt pose on the swing which always makes for a beautiful shot, we tied some color balloons on the swing. Lots of smiles and some amazing images captured.

Brent then decided to venture into the great outdoors. We are so lucky with the location of the studio that only minutes away are some really cool natural back drops, the dunes, the beaches and the bush.

Tommaree Headland at the world war II gun emplacements is a perfect back drop. Weathered metal doors welded shut, the graffiti of reckless youths, place gorgeous Britt in the middle and with Brent’s magic….pure art.

This is the 2nd time I have worked with Nicole. We photographed her model portfolio about a month ago and I was really impressed with her enthusiasm and style. Well done Nicole!!!

In the planning meeting Nat explained to us that she wanted to use the photo shoot to use for her portfolio. Nat wanted to break a little with the traditional shots and get a little creative. Together we created several different scenarios. The Hitchhiker worked really well and  one of my favorite shots of Nat was to the old derelict  world war 2 gunning tower on Tomaree Headland at shoal bay.

The very talanted Kim from Blush Brides did Nat’s make up. Kim has been in the industy for years and true talent in making women glow.   Kim spent hours with us on the modeling shoots and works closely with Brent during the shoot to make sure our models are looking fresh and beautiful.

Nat was great fun to work with and I am sure you’ll agree that Brent created amazing art for Nat’s portfolio. We wish Nat the best of luck in her very bright future and we look forward to working with her again.
