Please Help us choose!!! We need your help with choosing which images to send to APPA (Australian Professional Photography Awards) which is being held in Melbourne this year. Below is my choice of the best images from the past 12 months, and I need to choose 4 to submit to this photography competition. We are really finding it difficult choosing the best 4 images. 1. Hi Brent,
They are all amazing, but I would definately choose the photos with the lady in the brown dress & the lady submerged in water. They are gorgeous on there own, but the colours are really complementary as well. Can’t really separate the two,
    Good Luck!

  2. Hi Mate,

Gee tough call. You know I rate all your stuff highly so hard to pick especially given the variety of themes…each a winner in their own genre I reckon. But here goes…Anita coz it’s such a strong image and something unique. Brookie…just a pic any parent would want 1000 copies of…the judges will have a heart too!!! Becky with the dune sunset…mate your stuff in the dunes rocks its such a great setting. And I went for the classic…the old farmhouse in black and white…magic!! Good luck…let’s go surfin soon eh? Cheers Cromo

  3. Tough one? The awards are very different, needs to be an exceptional image to win anything, unusual and not something you see everyday in a photographers portfolio. Need to make a choice today and get them to the printer and framer before Monday. Thanks for the comments. Brent

  4. Hi Brent,
Theyre all amazing pictures! I think the top 4- The girl submerged in water- so many parts of this picture jump out of you and i havnt seen anything like it, Anita with the black chiffon, the top left picture with the horses- the colours in this are beautiful and…. Becky with the dune sunset.
    Goodluck Brent!

  5. Now that I sent that comment all the pics are in a different order. The top left pic I was talking about is the picture with the blue sky and clouds.

  6. Hi Brent, My choices – B&W – classic country scene
Lighthouse – setting and hues are just great
Wedding shot – interesting & opportunistic
    Horses – good perspective

all the best in the comp- all your work is top stuff!! Rob & Gail

  7. I like the house…always have, always will! :)

  8. Brent, the bride would be my pick, but this may put you into the hardest category. I like your Lighthouse, but the B&W with the small star trails… I’m going to the Exhibition & enroled on the boot camp (PICA) so I look for your images … Good luck with your entry!

  9. Hi brent,

they are all such amazing shots, the best pics for me are!! : Anita, (spanish look)
Submerged girl very contempary, the black and white house (a really moody shot!!), and lastly little girl on the grass.

  10. Hi
These are very good and hard to choose.
the lady wearing the blue ring and different hair do and the bride, would be my choice.
    Good luck

  11. The little girl on the grass is a gorgeous photo – captures a moment yet allows her playfulness to shine through. I also love the vivid colours.

    Good luck with the competition!

    Cheers,
    Tamera

p.s. I can’t wait for you to shoot my wedding on 14 August!

  12. They are all so beautiful there is no wonder you are having problems choosing but my favourite is the
bride, you have captured her just beautifully.

  13. Thanks to all of you that commented. I have just mailed them off to Melbourne tonight. I chose 3 from this gallery and another b/w underwater artistic image that was not shown. Lets see, image of Brooke in the orchard, Anita in the studio with the black chiffon and the old farmhouse in b/w. Hold thumbs, should know in about 2 weeks how they feature…..very subjective at the awards. I fly down on Sunday 6th June to see the judging. Cheers, Brent
