Just another glorious day here in the paradise of Port Stephens and another busy day at Capture Imaging.

Brent was out photographing  the Kennedy family as they laughed and played. The peaceful happiness of this family is just reflected beautifully in these images.

Wally is their eight year old Border Collie, who is very much apart of the family was included in the shoot. Like most dogs Wally is fixated on playing fetch with the ball. Brent was able to capture the intensity in Wally’s expression. The  family loved this image so much that Wally will now join the precious images of the family and hang on the walls in the Kennedy’s home.

We created this beautiful personal art for the Kennedy’s. We carefully choose their favourite images and had the images tailor matted ready for framing. Priceless art of Kennedy family for 2010.

The wind has been blowing gale force all night and day. On our way to photograph a family portrait we passed 2 ship wrecks on shoal bay beach. Looks like the yacht and boat have been blown off their moorings…..not a happy day for the owners.

Congratulations to Bianka Lee who is currently featured in the examiner newspaper for her acting ability….well done!!

FOUR budding, young Port Stephens actors have scored roles in a production of the musical The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

The Young Peoples Theatre production at Hamilton is running throughout the school holidays and at weekends until the end of November.

Port juniors to feature are Jake Nye, 11 and Bianka Lee, 17, of Boat Harbour and Harold Phipps, 15 and his sister Jasmine, 9, from Corlette.

The plot has four children walking through a wardrobe and into a magical land where animals talk and a battle for power is underway. The play is the first time Jake Nye and Harold Phipps have played main roles and according to fellow actress Bianka they are both thrilled.

“As a cast we are working hard on making sure our portrayal of the characters reflect those in the original,” she said. “My favourite part of the show is either the surprise arrival of Father Christmas, or the Sacrifice of Aslan the Lion.”

What a cutie is little Jaden !!! Jolene came to our studio to have shots taken of her precious boy. It was a really fun shoot. Jolene chose some beautiful images of her son and was really overwhelmed with her whole experience with Capture Imaging, this is a lovely quote from Jolene.

“Being the photographer in our house I am always behind the camera so what I really wanted from the shoot was to have some nice photos of my baby & I. Walking into the viewing I was expecting to see some nice shots but I was brought to tears because Brent was able to capture in pictures the overwhelming love I feel for Jaden & the bond we share. Not only was Brent able to transfer my feelings onto film but he also managed to capture Jadens personality. Jaden is such a charming, funny, mischievous & lovable little boy & Brent got it all & has frozen this moment in time for me and I will be forever grateful. While watching the slideshow I realised that no matter how many years pass & how many memories slip away I will always have these photos to remind me exactly how my baby was at 4 months old. I cannot thank Brent & his wonderful staff enough & I’m so thankful to have a physical reminder of this precious stage in our lives”

We look forward to shooting Jaden and his brothers in the next few years but for the moment enjoy these precious images.

Rebecca Sorensen came to our studio after hearing whispers of Chic Boudoir. Rebecca had a very special wedding anniversary coming up and she wanted to surprise her husband.

So often our Husbands see us as we are running after the kids, up to our and elbows in the our daily routines. What a wonderful way remind hubby of the sensual woman you are and to celebrate your love for him. This is a gift no husband can refuse.

Rebecca’s images are stunning, using her own bedroom as the beautiful back drop. It is such a great idea to use your own home, that way it is more relaxing and it describes more of you. Brent arrived with our make up artist and hair stylist, champagne and beautiful cheese platter so Rebecca could relax and enjoy the entire Chic Boudoir experience.

Together with Rebbeca we created a personalised hand made leather album that included some of these stunning images.

Ask her about her hubby’s response….well worth it!!!

Sharon came to our Studio with her son Callum, she had her Hubby’s 50th Birthday coming up and they both wanted to do something really special for him!

We did the photo shoot after school at Zenith Beach. Callum brought his two favourite things in the world to the shoot, his Football and his Dog!!!

Sharon and Callum came back to the studio for their viewing on our big screen. They chose to have a very special album made with their favourite image printed onto the cover of the album. Sharon chose the below image of Callum and the Pup looking off into the future - this image was then printed on a very high grade metallic paper and bonded onto acrylic. The end result is absolutely stunning!

It was such fun planning this surprise for this lovely family and we hope that they have a very special day celebrating Dad’s  50th Birthday.

Sharon phoned me this morning, Hubby was thrilled with the present. The surprise of these beautiful images of his son brought a tear of joy to his eye. Hubby declared that even though it was his 50th Birthday it was still the best birthday day so far !!!!

There is nothing quite as lovely as a new baby, a new addition to a family. Alisha came to our studio with only weeks to the impending birth of her second bundle. We decided that we would wait to do the family shoot until the fourth member had arrived safely and she did.

New born photography is recommended to be done in the first five weeks. Liv was a perfect little model, with barely a peep out of her. We warmed up the studio before they arrived, very important to keep all our clients happy and comfortable even the tiny ones.

Liv’s proud big sister who is just two years old was great during the shoot as well and we got the sweetests shots of them together.

Then after we had some fun in the studio we headed down to Zenith Beach. We are so lucky to be able to offer both studio and outdoor locations in the one shoot. That way the O’Briens had a greater choice of what they would like to hang on their walls at home to remember this special time in their lives.

We look forward to watching the girls grow and shooting them again. We hope you enjoy these images as much as we enjoyed taking them.

Sweet Emily and her mum came to visit our studio.Emily is 15 a just bursting with enthusiasm and is a very special young lady. I learnt Emily is very involved with her local church, wants to work in Childcare when she leaves school. Emily loves the out doors, antiques and helping her parents to restore old homes. Emily told me she loved exploring the homes that were to be renovated and finding little relics of the past. One of her favourite finds was a beautiful blue glass bottle…….

We chatted about different looks for the photo shoots,  outfit options and creating different scenarios that reflected her interest and lifestyle. With some very careful planning and Brent’s expertise her caught these amazing images. Emily and her Mum were thrilled, and we had great fun in creating their very own personal art that will live on their walls and warm their hearts for many years to come.

Congratulations to Sue Turner our Winner of the $1330.00 Boudoir Canvas Package. We donated this prize for the Premier of the latest Sex and the City movie, raising money for Lifestyle Solutions Charity. From all reports it was a great evening with lots of shoes, bags and laughs.

Sue was very nervous when she came to the studio for her planning session and she explained she had never done anything like this before. I explained that her photo session was all about her, a celebration of Sue Turner. We discussed lots of different options we had a lot of laughs as well. Sue told me that she loves to paint, so that was a lovely back drop for Sue and where she felt comfortable.

Sue also loves shoes as most women do, Sue told me about these amazing boots she had purchased, black patten leather with red flames up the side and has never had the chance to wear. So we set up a shoot where these amazing boots were on show.

I also ask if there is any unsual hobbies or precious objects of Hubby’s they would like to have in the shoot, maybe a special piece of jewellery that hubby has give as a gift or a guitar. I watched the cheeky grin spread across Sue’s face and held my breathe for the reply…….” An amazing Orange Cadillac”. I knew this was going to be a very fun shoot.

Brent and our team of stylists went to Sue’s home where she was pampered and glamoured and made to feel really special. Sue told me it was an amazing experience and even though she was nervous she soon relaxed and enjoyed being the centre of attention for the day.
