Avenue Capital Management contacted us to photograph their annual conference and team building event at Peppers Anchorage in Corlette. This was held over 3 days, and my job was to photograph the events each day and night, and then put together a slideshow with music that was presented each morning before the conference started.

I was amazed at how much fun the teambuilding was. They had challenges ranging from giant jenga, to building a catapult using skewers.

On the 2nd night we were treated to a cruise on moonshadow cruises around port stephens and then they had the awards dinner at the point restaurant at soldiers point marina.

The conference ended with an 80’s themed dinner and dance. I love shooting people when they let loose and have fun. The challenge was how to show movement, fun, and costumes in low light conditions. I used the technique of “dragging the shutter” to create images that were unusual and fun.
