What a cutie is little Jaden !!! Jolene came to our studio to have shots taken of her precious boy. It was a really fun shoot. Jolene chose some beautiful images of her son and was really overwhelmed with her whole experience with Capture Imaging, this is a lovely quote from Jolene.

“Being the photographer in our house I am always behind the camera so what I really wanted from the shoot was to have some nice photos of my baby & I. Walking into the viewing I was expecting to see some nice shots but I was brought to tears because Brent was able to capture in pictures the overwhelming love I feel for Jaden & the bond we share. Not only was Brent able to transfer my feelings onto film but he also managed to capture Jadens personality. Jaden is such a charming, funny, mischievous & lovable little boy & Brent got it all & has frozen this moment in time for me and I will be forever grateful. While watching the slideshow I realised that no matter how many years pass & how many memories slip away I will always have these photos to remind me exactly how my baby was at 4 months old. I cannot thank Brent & his wonderful staff enough & I’m so thankful to have a physical reminder of this precious stage in our lives”

We look forward to shooting Jaden and his brothers in the next few years but for the moment enjoy these precious images.

There is nothing quite as lovely as a new baby, a new addition to a family. Alisha came to our studio with only weeks to the impending birth of her second bundle. We decided that we would wait to do the family shoot until the fourth member had arrived safely and she did.

New born photography is recommended to be done in the first five weeks. Liv was a perfect little model, with barely a peep out of her. We warmed up the studio before they arrived, very important to keep all our clients happy and comfortable even the tiny ones.

Liv’s proud big sister who is just two years old was great during the shoot as well and we got the sweetests shots of them together.

Then after we had some fun in the studio we headed down to Zenith Beach. We are so lucky to be able to offer both studio and outdoor locations in the one shoot. That way the O’Briens had a greater choice of what they would like to hang on their walls at home to remember this special time in their lives.

We look forward to watching the girls grow and shooting them again. We hope you enjoy these images as much as we enjoyed taking them.

Sweet Emily and her mum came to visit our studio.Emily is 15 a just bursting with enthusiasm and is a very special young lady. I learnt Emily is very involved with her local church, wants to work in Childcare when she leaves school. Emily loves the out doors, antiques and helping her parents to restore old homes. Emily told me she loved exploring the homes that were to be renovated and finding little relics of the past. One of her favourite finds was a beautiful blue glass bottle…….

We chatted about different looks for the photo shoots,  outfit options and creating different scenarios that reflected her interest and lifestyle. With some very careful planning and Brent’s expertise her caught these amazing images. Emily and her Mum were thrilled, and we had great fun in creating their very own personal art that will live on their walls and warm their hearts for many years to come.

Twins are a blessing in themselves, but these two are just adorable. Cheeky smiles, blond curls and the energy of a football team !!!

Billy and Halley are the best for friends at four years old. They had soooo much fun jumping off the sand dunes, playing tugg o war and chasing bubbles in the breeze. These two are water babies as well so we had them back to the pool at the studio to do some Aqua Kids shots as well. What little ones doesn’t want to be a mermaid or pirate diving for treasure in the afternoon ?

These children’s smiles are infectious & I love the body language between these two as well. We have been able to create some amazing art that will grace this families walls for a life time to come.

What a better reason for a big family get together than a 40th Birthday.

Margo came to our studio to organise this very special photoshoot and chat to us what she would like to have done. She was planning to celebrate her 40Th Birthday. Margo told me here family was dotted around the country some coming from as far away as Geraldton WA, they were all staying for five days having a holiday too.

What a perfect time to have family portraits done, mile stone birthday and family reunion.

Well Brent himself had a ball, he did an amazing job getting the perfect group shot.  The a shot of Margo, her Mum and the Sisters together, then he went on to do individual family shots. There was so much laughter and fun as they boy’s verses girls tuggawar was being won. We even got the perfect shot of Grandma with all her beautiful grandchildren.A perfect sunny day at Zenith made for a stunning back drop.

I spent the Saturday morning with the entire family while they viewed their very special images, there were a few tears shed, I even had tear, listening to the oooh and ahhs as they watched their beautiful images unfold on the screen before them. I know everyone was so touched, it was so evident of the love they had for one an other, even though there are thousands of miles between them. They now have these amazing images to reflect upon that will grace the walls in each home.

The Mulhearn family came to our studio for a planning meeting. The girls have been dancing for many years and it was very clear that their parents are very proud of their beautiful daughters.

On the day of the shoot there had been some fairly heavy showers and we were a little concerned about the weather, but over at Zenith beach, there was a little breeze and the rain held off as we managed to capture this families images. I think the lofty clouds in the back ground add an interesting back drop to an already perfect setting.

It was lovely to get a shot of Mum & Dad together for the girls as well. When they came in and viewed their imagines, Mum & Dad mentioned that they had not had a lovely portait together since their wedding.

It is always very special when the next generation comes along. Janine, a very proud Mother and Grandmother wanted some very special images of her beautiful Daughter and her sweet little Granddaughter. Natural, beautiful shots. We photographed them on Shoal Bay Beach with Tomaree Headland in the background.

Janine decided to invest in a stunning framed canvas made of her favourite image to hang in her home.

We look forward to doing another shoot in a couple of years. It is always lovely to have portraits done every year or two just to look back and see how much the little ones have grown. I’m sure you would agree that time just ticks by, and before we know it they are all grown up !

Congratulations goes to our very special winner of the Salamander Photo Center Competition, Rebbecca Hughes !!! Her family was the lucky in-store winners for May. She has won a prize worth $1330 which includes a beautiful Large Framed Canvas of her favourite image of the day.

Rebbecca was thrilled when I phoned her with the news that she had won. She has four beautiful children that we had a ball photographing.  I asked Rebbecca how the shoot went and she was amazed, ” A couple of the kids had the sniffles, there had been a little rain but everyone had a great time but more importantly I was stunned at how beautiful the images had turned out”

We had a record breaking month at Capture Imaging Studio in June. Even with the start of winter upon us, and three wet weekends in a row, we still managed to be booked out!!!

Well the months have flipped past and I have had the pleasure of working with so many beautiful families, it was finally my turn.  My husband’s beautiful children Ryan and Sarah were visiting with us for a long weekend. Brent kindly offered to do our family shoot and I was thrilled.

I was watching my Husband and the kids horsing around on the beach, I was keenly watching Brent as well and it hit me like a bolt of lightening, this was a precious memory in the making. Not something that would be forgotten. This is a thumb print of a family, my family.  I choked back the tears and started laughing again as Ryan tried to push his dad in the water.

Our BIGGEST thank you to Brent, the happiness that is generated by your amazing talent is boundless, I feel so blessed that we have been able to have Brent capture our family.

Jason and I shed many tears of joy when we saw the amazing images and happily planned on where we are going to display the images in our home, we are also going to put an album together for the kids. We are like many families that don’t live together on a full time basis, but we have the love of the children in our hearts, we have plenty of phone calls and emails each week and now these beautiful images that will grace our walls.

Now I know Ryan and Sarah had a ball and Brent made it great fun, but in years to come when the kids are older they will have these beautiful images to look back on. My own father is very ill now and I just wished had a little window into my past, happy days running on the beach with my Dad, but sadly not. Life just gets so busy and sometimes we need to just stop and think about the future and I am so glad we shared this wonderful experience, hope you enjoy these photos of my family.

Harlan and Claire live very busy lives. They moved to Australia from the UK a few years ago. They love the beach lifestyle, especially here in Port Stephens. We planned to show off their lifestyle with a shoot on zenith beach, near Tomaree Headland.

I managed to interview Harland and Claire lately. Interesting to find out what the images mean to them. Thanks guys for being so honest with me during the interview…..Brent
